10. Trekking Mount Batur

Mount Batur, Kintamani, Bali, is one of volcano in Indonesia. With the summit at 1.717 m above sea level, it only took two hours to trek. On the way to the summit, there a Lake Batur where you can take a rest and enjoy the view. Trekking could be a fun way to bond with your children and it also has educational value. In this age of technology, you can teach your children the beauty of nature. Fun tips, bring raw eggs in your bag, have it put inside a bag of rice or any other way to make sure it won’t break. 9. Bicycle Tour

Your children like to ride their bicycle? How about riding bicycle between paddy field and traditional village, with mount Batur as your background? Sound tiring? Do not worry. Many tour provider offer downhill bicycling, plus they will have a car following you just in case little ones feel too tired to continue. With a track of 40 km, you will have 3.5 to 4 hours of fun bicycling time. Start at Batur mountainside, you’ll going downhill and you can stop for a while to see religious ceremony (if any) or at warung (little shop) to have nice chat with locals, and then stop to see artists making wooden sculpture, and finish the trip at Pejeng Village.

8. Learn about Sea Turtle at Turtle Island

Tanjung Benoa are famous for water sport activities. For older kids, they will have plenty of fun riding banana boat, jet ski, or parasailing. But there are also a fun thing to do for all ages, riding glass bottomed boat to Turtle Island. The ride itself already very interesting, where you can see fish and corals without having to get wet. and when you reach turtle island, the children can learn more about sea turtles and why this unique creature need to be protected.

There is only one submarine tour in Indonesia, and it is Odyssey submarine. Located in Labuhan Amuk Bay, two hours from denpasar, this submarine will take you dive to the ocean to see tropical sea ecosystem. Everybody can do this, no swimming skill needed. You just sit and enjoy the amazing view. This submarine can bring up to 36 people in underwater trip for 45 minutes each trip.

6. Play with Birds at Bali Bird Park

Bali Bird Park located at Singapadu Village, Gianyar, Bali. Bali Bird Park is merged with Reptile center, so your kids can learn about both kind of animal. At this place, not only you can see various kind of birds (such as paradise bird, peacock, cassowary) and reptiles, you can also take picture with them. There are macau bird with their beautiful color and black feather rangkong that they will put in your or your kids arm for several minutes. In reptile area you can take picture with iguana or snakes, if you dare.

Devdan comes from “Dev” which mean Gods and “Dhana” which mean blessing, so it literally Blessing from the Gods. The show is about richness of Indonesian culture. The story begin when two kids get away from their tour group out of boredom and climb a cliff where they find a box of treasure that show them a glimpse of Indonesian culture. Here, you can see Balinese, Javanese, Borneo, Papua, and Sumatra dance, costume, and music. Totally amazing and enjoyable by all ages.

4. Outbond at Treetop Adventure

Treetop adventure, located at Bedugul Botanical Garden, is a place for outbond activity suitable or everybody. There are outbond circuits designed for children and also the most challenging circuit for adults. There are 7 adventure circuits available from one tree to another, ranging from 2 meter height o 20 meter, 72 challenges for every level and age such as Spider Net, Tarzan Jumps, Flying-fox, etc. They will give you gears and safety instructions first, and then you can try different circuits as much as you want within two hours of your playing time.
